Previous research has shown that people tell lies in about a quarter of all their daily interactions, but a new study at America's Cornell University has found that we're more likely to lie during a phone conversation than in an e-mail exchange, mainly because e-mails leave a record.
Professor Jeff Hancock asked 30 subjects to keep a communications diary for a week, confessing every time they told a lie. He found that lies made up a whopping 37% of phone conversations and 27% of chats in person, but just 21% of instant messaging and 14% of e-mails. We have long, cold winters and short, hot summers. We have a holiday home near a lake, so in summer I go sailing a lot and / play baseball, but in winter I often play ice hockey and go ice-skating. My favorite season is autumn, or fall, as we say in North America. I love the colors of the trees - red, gold, orange, yellow, and brown.
 

Bad Temper

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day, the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold histemper. The days passed and the boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. Restaurant in trouble over drugstore name

A long-established family business in a small Missouri town is in trouble with state officials over its name.
The Justus Drugstore has been on Main Street since 1914. But a year ago its latest family owner converted it into an acclaim-winning restaurant with the same name. That isn't sitting well with the State Board of Pharmacy, which is demanding he remove the word "drugstore" because there is no pharmacist on duty, KCTV, Kansas City, reported.
"We lose our name, we lose all of that name recognition . We lose everything we've worked for and we lose our family history," Jonathan Justus said.
Officials from the Board of Pharmacy have reportedly said that further legal action will be taken if Justus Drugstore doesn't change its name.
